NCERT Activity 11.4: Connect three resistors in series. Observe that current is the same through all, voltage divides, and Rs = R1+R2+R3.
How To Perform

Set Up Series Circuit
Connect R1=2Ω, R2=3Ω, R3=5Ω in series with a battery and ammeter.

Measure Voltages
Use a voltmeter across each resistor. Same current, different voltages.

Calculate Total R
Verify: Rs = R1 + R2 + R3 = 10Ω.

Why is total series R always greater than any individual R?
